Robert Johnson is one of the most famous blues pioneers known around the world today. Writing and recording 29 songs in a span of only two years before his untimely death in 1938, his music has stood the test of time through his peers and fans of yesterday and today. My painting portrays the myth that embodies Robert Johnson's amazing talent, and the folklore that was spread during his very short career. Although his songs were genuinely gained from a deep passion he had for the blues, the legend of the crossroads is embedded in his immortality.
