My painting of Abe's Bar-B-Q is a tribute for the many blues musicians that passed through it's doors for decades. Not only was Abe's known for his southern roadside cuisine, but also for the soulful music of the Delta that filled the air while you ate. Since the early years of blues music, Abe's Bar-B-Q was witness to it all, and seeded its place in blues music history. Established in Clarksdale, MS. in 1924, all that remains today of original historical reference is only the sign itself.
