Distant blues filter down silent railway tracks as two drifting bluesmen wait to hitch a ride. A mouth harp or guitar became the sound of the blues, as these instruments of choice were the easiest to tote. Bluesmen would mimic the ways of their life in the music they played, using rhythmic sounds of steam locomotion and howling whistles gave us insight to the way they traveled.
